Aleš is a class 1 coach with 40 years of experience. He has 263 medals from national championships, 130 titles, and has participated in all world youth and adult competitions that exist. From 60 starts, he has earned 11 medals, reached the finals 40 times, and placed within the top eight 29 times.

He has brought Denisa Helceletová (Ščerbová), Jaroslav Baba, Barbora Sajdoková, Emily Gerulová, Nikola Ogrodníková, Tomáš Veselý, Jakub Bystroň and others to the top competitions from the junior categories.

Aleš began as an athlete with VOKD Poruba in 1972 and has been a coach since 1980, working in Vítkovice since 1986. His work and approach to athletics have been influenced by personalities such as Vlastimil Hoferek, Oldřich Jurák, Rudolf Chovanec, Václav Fišer, and Stanislav Joukal.

As an athlete, he values his 3 medals from the national championship in long jump the most. He is inspired by all the medals and the participation of his athletes in world competitions, as well as by all the athletes who bring him joy and contribute to the improvement of his coaching work, which fulfils, entertains, and means everything to him.
